Default Need input on Action Clutch

What I want to know is your setup, and which specific stage your using for your car. Also someone I can get in contact with about buying one.

I'm mainly looking for which stage you have, and how the pedal feel is compared to stock. I know these are good gripping clutches. Also whats the max tq your specific stage is rated at.

Thanks

GReddy turbo'd at 5psi for now. Using the Action Stage 2KS clutch. At first, the pedal feel was stiff...but my leg got use to the feel and now it's nothing. Compared to stock...for me, it was a workout for the first few days. I believe mines rated for 250ft-lbs, but I'm not really sure as I forgot what Rocket told me.

I have a 2md for a integra LS. I like mine, grabs hard and pedal pressure isn't heavy. It's much heavier than stock but still nothing clsoe to being a pain. Takes alittle to get used to when you are first taking off from a stop.

More feedback please, still want to know what each clutch everyone has is rated at. And how difficult would it be for a semi-new driver to stick to learn on (driven stick before, can drive it. Just haven't had all that much practice on it).

I wouldn't recommend the 2md as a beginner clutch.

Would you recommend one of the stage ones? That can hold just a tad under the torque I expect to make in the future? I believe I was told one of the stage ones holds 225tq max. I expect to make more then that within a year.

I personally would get the 2md if it can hold the power you plan on making. Give us a little info on what your plans are for the car and what kinda power your trying to get. Don't get a clutch that can MAYBE hold the power because your scared of a tough clutch. I daily drive on my clutch master stage 5. A new clutch only takes about a day or 2 to get use to. It will save money in the long run when that ***** clutch with the soft feel can't hold the power and you have to buy the one you should have gotten in the first place.

I can't say I know much about the stage 1 for Action. 2k_teg would know much better. I can say I disliked my ACT. It broke after 20k of use. It was the HD pressure plate with a Street disc. My engine is competely stock too.

Its a stage 2 MD but i never got to install it since i abandoned my project. its in the sig but yeah..from what i heard and my research, its not that bad. but then again, all my research came from cable tranny clutches. no sure about hydri tranny. IF there is a difference in feel.

I had the 2ks in my LS hatch and i loved it. You get used to the pressure within 30 minutes. Then when you go back to a stock or a little over stock one its a big big difference, it doesnt even feel like the pedal is there, but then it only takes another 30 minutes(more than likely quite a bit less) to get used to it again. Im putting the 2ks in my gsr hatch to hold the power when i put the turbo on. the 2ks holds 250ft lbs.

Well my power currently with auto is in the sig, when I swap alone I should be seeing 200+whp just from that. Also b18bs keep a pretty close whp/tq ratio and I plan to get close to 300whp eventually. (swap, then standalone, and down the road full engine build).

Hope that info helps aid you guys in helping me decide.

Running a 2MD in my boosted LS. No issues whatsoever... makes driving a much more enjoyable experience once I got the hang of it. A clutch upgrade was one of the best things I did to my car to improve the fun factor. Action Clutch I plan on making over 300whp once I build and sleeve a shortblock to swap in, until then I am going to be running under 10 PSI on an intercooled setup with a T3/T04E, EMS, 3", etc...

I'm running a stage 2ks in my gsr with a rev hard stage 2 turbo. It does only take about 30 minutes to get used to. Pedal pressure WAS rather stiff, but now I cant tell if the pedal pressure had gotten softer or my leg has gotten stronger cuz it doesn't feel like I have to push as hard on it anymore. It's been a little over a month since I've had the clutch.

Has anybody else noticed the same thing???

i never thought my stage 2 was very heavy, but it makes sense that you won't notice the weight as much after you use it a while. That's how it was when I drove this car with a super stiff clutch...
