Default Need help with turbo question

Hi, I'm new here of course if you can see my number of post. I've just recently purchased a 1996 Honda Civic EX with a B18c1 motor swap in progress. Now the thing is I want to turbo the gsr motor but I'm not entirely sure what I need to rebuild in order to boost. I heard stories about if I put a turbo kit on my gsr motor now without upgrading anything it's going to blow up. Can someone help me out here? Can someone give me the list of essential things to rebuild before turboing? I have a turbo kit already on this side just to let you know so that's already out of the question. I just want to know what to rebuild in order to have a reliable turbo car thanks. Oh by the way I tried using the search button but for some reason it comes with the search server is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later. Once again thanks for ya'll your help

you don't need to rebuild anything. unless you plan on boosting further than the springrate on the wastegate. just get some good management. get bigger injectors, and you should be very reliable. oh and make sure you tuner is good.

Also I do not wish to blow up my motor at an early stage.....that would seriously suck if it did

Sorry for being slow at this since this is my first time owning a honda period. Is there anything I need to buy in order to tune the car? I'm assuming i'll need some gauges like a boost gauge, air/fuel gauge, and what other things I need? MBC? Btw the gsr motor is basically stock. It has about 60k miles on it just at FYI.

I just found out my turbo kit cannot be used on the GSR motor. The turbo kit is for an SOHC D-series motor.....I wonder how much I can sell the SOHC Motor with the turbo kit, transmission, Axle, and Shift linkage for. Looks liek I'm gonna have to save up for another turbo kit. The only thing I actually need if I would keep this turbo kit is the turbo manifold, oil lines, and new pipings. Not entirely sure how much everything will cost but my friend said it's close to a grand.
