Default NEED HELP WITH THIS TURBO KIT

dont let the title mislead u... i need help with my turbo kit on my 97 civic hatch. i need to know what is a good price for this. i have it for sale, but i dont know if im charging too much or too little. i paid $1400 for it about 6 months ago. if a mod chooses to delete this, then thats fine... but please pm me with ur thoughts on the price when u lock it. here is the deal. i had it on my hatch and the bottom end was too old and worn out and couldnt handle the boost i guess. the kit comes with an edlebrock victor x intake manifold, tial external wastegate with 7lb spring, greddy BOV, greddy turbo timer, all IC piping for 96-00 civic, IC (no brand name stamped on it), all hoses/clamps/fittings etc for everything, turbo (.60/?) with no shaft play and spins freely, exhaust manifold, tapped oil pan with all return lines, same for the line running to the oil filter. this is absolutely everything! and i mean everything needed to pull off ur stock parts and bolt this on in an afternoon. oh yea, also a blox 12:1 (i think) fmu and also missing link. i have the kit for sale currently for $1100. that is everything top to bottom. shipping and paypal fees not included. someone locally is wanting to buy the oil pan, intake manifold, and wastegate for $350. should i take the money and sell the kit for $850? what is a good price to ask for this kit? please lemme know your thoughts and opions. please no flaming or non related posts please! thanks guys

My guess is that alot of people dont bother reading your post as its one big paragraph.

Break it up into something more manageable and people might have something to say.

I'll tell you what everyone else likely will. Save your money and buy something with some quality. Don't buy a cheap kit. I'm telling you this from experience.

i would say your price is pretty realistic, between 900ish and 1100 is good realistic price.

Fixed...

I would pay 1000 for that kit if I was going to spend that kind of money on a turbo.

What kind of manifold? how much? How much for the tial wastegate? 35/38 mm.

I might be interested in those. Is the manifold for a D or B? I need one for a B.

sounds like you have a pieced togehter edlebrock kit which goes for 1200 new, i wouldn expect much from it since the turbo's are second gen eclipse turbos reman. maybe 800 if your lucky better off pieacing it off man

edlebrock victor x intake manifold,
IC (no brand name stamped on it),
all hoses/clamps/fittings etc for everything,
all IC piping for 96-00 civic,
, exhaust manifold,
oil pan with all return lines,
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^sounds like edelbrock kit chopped and screwed with a greddy kit

tial external wastegate with 7lb spring,&lt;------------prolly came with the edelbrock kit too low of a spring rate to make any power prolly around 175-190 on a t25 maybe less

greddy BOV,
greddy turbo timer,

what is the flange desighn?----&gt; turbo (.60/?) with no shaft play and spins freely tapped

this is ghetto fabbed---&gt; same for the line running to the oil filter.

it sounds like a street legal kit chopped and screwed becuase noone in their right mind would run that low of a psi on a custom kit

Damn doesn't anybody read, he's asking if his selling price is reasonable, he's not looking to buy it!!!

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by spork motorsports &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">sounds like you have a pieced togehter edlebrock kit which goes for 1200 new, i wouldn expect much from it since the turbo's are second gen eclipse turbos reman. maybe 800 if your lucky better off pieacing it off man </TD></TR></TABLE>

first off edelbrock turbo kits are like 3500 not 1200,

2nd, the edelbrock uses a BB t28, not a typical t3/t4, a tial BOV, not greddy and a spearco intercooler(which is one of the highest quality ICs I've ever seen), not an ebay no brand and no FMU

3rd DSM turbos are 14B, t25 or 16G, none are t3s or t4s

but you are right, the OP would have much better luck parting everything out

OP take that offer for 350, seems very fair for both parties and then just part out the rest

Edelbrock kit-the t28 garrret is internally wastegated.Anyways good deal for $1200 if the turbo is a good name brand.

where did i say he had a t3/t4????????????????

edlebrocks didnt come out with spearco IC's until of late, the greddy i said seemed like it came from a greddy kit infused in it

there are alot more dsm turbos out there man including kits with revamped and machined housings i have a tdo4h-15g ever heard of that u prolly didnt comes int the greddy kit d16z6

please inform me what OEM DSM turbo did I miss
14b=td04 jackass, I thought I saw in the OP that it was a t3 .60 my mistake

so sorry I hurt your E-ego, or maybe your pissed that I didn't buy the APC CF stickered wing you had for sale claiming it was areal CF (that you said was a good aftermarket company, and not 100% sure of the brand)...I know what an edelbrock kit has and costs because I strongly considered it before I bought my turbo setup, but yet you didn't know the difference between real CF and an APC fiberglass spoiler with a CF sticker on it?(seriously...who is ricey enough to ever buy anything APC...oh yeah you) who really has the "average" HT IQ??? bet your car has gaytezzas, clearcorners, based on your colection of unbalanced aerodynamically horrible APC wings I'm sure it has one of those, a fart can, and some poorly done widebody kit and even dem pepboys spinnaz for the bling factor... What a douche! why don't you go drift your civic off a cliff...your almost as bad a that felliph3 guy
