need help with some decisions before tunning...
ok guys, I've thought about the last components I need to get before this motor is running and tuned. I would just like to get some opinions on whats a definate must have, and what I can do without givin my goals...
short version of my setup:
fully built b16a2 top to bottom (84mm bore)
s100
780cc inj
equal lenght mani
stock intake mani
3" DP
T3/to4e turbo from drag 3 kit
9"x something intercooler also from drag kit
2 1/2" (I think) DC sports cat back exhaust
my goals: 400+ whp or tune no more then 15~16psi on pump... good streetable response
long parts wish list, short money:
-12"x31"x3" intercooler upgrade
-JG intake mani
-3" cat back exhust kit from kteller weld it up myself
-or 3" thermal exhaust
-rebuild drag turbo
-or get a bigger one
-endyne damper pulley
I'm guessing by other setups I have seen, I may be able to reach my goals with what I have now. from what I understand the drag turbo is good up to 400whp, but I don't know if thats only using the rest of the drag kit?? turbo and the intercooler are the only parts left from the kit. the IC might be a limit, and the 2 1/2" exhaust might also be a limit, etc...
My question is what should be my order of priority? in case I can't afford to do everything before tunning...
Thanks for any help!

Grab the Edelbrock Manifold, and a slightly bigger precision turbo. I've had great luck w/ my sc50's, 34's and 44's. I made plenty.... plenty of power even with a 2.5" exhaust.

so your saying the intake mani upgrade is more important then the exhaust? I'm really leaning towards upgrading the turbo for a slightly bigger one, rather then rebuild the one from drag kit...
any other input?

definately a turbo before anything. then its a toss up for the exhaust and manifold. id go with the manifold myself, there are plenty of people making power with a 2.5 inch exhaust.

I will let him post but I think he has taken care of most everything. Dustin, I would get the turbocharger we talked about before the intake manifold. When you are ready for an intake manifold I will keep an eye out for a good manifold.

I dont know what intake manifold you are using now ... but the JG/Edelbrock one works great. I swapped it on in lieu of my ITR one.
Yes,... toss the turbo... get a medium size precision unit.
Dont sweat the exhaust... my clutched together 2.5" / 2.25" / 2.36" mess supported 400whp just fine.
Bigger intercooler can't hurt... I use an Apexi GTR core.

intake mani and exhaust are a toss up...??
ok, I'll try to sell my turbo to put towards an upgrade, I'm pretty sure I can swing the 12"x31"x3" intercooler before tunning...
any more input please?
Thanks!
