need help getting turbo ready

Default need help getting turbo ready

I jus broke my arm after a motorcycle accident kinda wrecked my r1 but im using the money to swap out the b18b for b18c. its an obd1 but i need advice for what i should do to get my engine turbo ready? ex: internals ect... help me prepare for force induction while the block is out so the work can be done. i plan on running 10-15 psi. appreciate some help. oh yeah anyone know the bennefits of a hydraulic tran? thnks

If u r running only 10-15 psi u r probably fine running mostly stock internals, but if u want to run closer to 15 psi u would probably want to consider adding in head struts to keep the head down. ARP makes good struts.

ARP doesn't make struts!

they make head studs

well id rather be safe than sorry any other suggestions? pistons rods ect??

I woundn't base your goals on what PSI you want to run over how much power you want to make. 15 psi on your basic t3/t4 60 trim on a decent tune will net you 350-400 on a stock motor, if that's what you want. If you put in rods and pistons you can make quite a bit more power....safely.

Really you need to build your setup to match your power goals.....not psi.

thanks that helps i guess? im a motorcycle mechanic so honda engines are somewhat foreign to me. my goals right now arent based on psi, thats adjusable but more so rather keeping my engine safe for force induction. thanks 4 the imput.
