Default need help with ecu selection... (noob)

well this is my first official post on honda tech, been over at honda-acura.net for a while (bout 1200 posts). ill get to the point. i decided to check with you because i havnt been recieving any useful information on the turbo build i am parting together currently. this is my first turbo build and i am to the stage of fuel manament. i have decided to go with a chiped ecu that is set for 7psi of boost and capable of running 440cc injectors. i have a 98 ex d16y8 and from my understanding i have a obd2a ecu. what i need to know is if i purchase an ecu that is an obd1 and a harness will i be able to retain vtec? i am looking at a used chipped ecu that was set for 7 psi and with an obd2a harness. also the seller states that it is set up for 440cc injectors. i guess what i need to know is would this be what im looking for? i did try to search but i didn't get any hits back that would specificly help. thanks alot. peace.

All you would need would be a OBD2A-OBD1 conversion harness and a P28 spec ecu. That will allow you to retain vtec.

So as long as the ecu you would be getting it vtec compatible, you won't have any problems.
