need help with e-manage blue
I have a 2003 honda civic ex that i put a turbo on everything went on ok, but when i got to the electrical part things went bad fast.
I connected the e-manage up with a plug and play harness from boomslang, then i went to start the car and it would not start. When i would turn the key to the position where you can hear the fuel pump kick on it would blow the fuse for the ignition coil. But when the car is on the factory ecu it will start just fine.
I called dezod and talked to paul and he told me that i needed to set the jumpers up, which i didn't do the first time he said that could be the reason that it was blowing the fuse. i set the jumpers up but it still won't start the car.
I checked the harness for any places in the harness that might be bad ( cut in the wire, etc.) i could not see any. i called boomslag up and they told me to send the harness back to them and they would check it out and send it back, does anyone else know of anything that it might be causing this to happen, i need to get it tuned but i'm not able to do so with out the e-manage working.
Has anyone heard of the e-manage box going bad, i know for a fact that i have the jumpers set the way they are suppose to be, i got them off of dezod.com.
I was looking through the e-manage support tool manual and it said that if the car does not start to set two of the jumpers a different setting, so i did just that, i installed everything back in and went to start the car, my father inlaw was standing out side of the car and i was inside with my head under the dash so i could see if the fuse blew or not right away, as soon as i turned the car to the section where you can hear the fuel pump kick on there was a huge bang sounded like a gun my father inlaw said it sounded like it came from the engine but to me it was all around, i disconnected eeverything and the car started right up on the factory ecu, i still have no idea what might have made the bang noise, does anyone else.
Please any help.Thanks in advance
Matt

did you setup the rotary switches already? a wrong setting with the rotary switches will blow up the ignition fuse instantly even if the jumpers are correct. open up the 4 allen screws and you will the the 3 rotary switches and set them as the manual says... i forgot what I used for our customer sorry. These 3 ***** are different from the 5 fuel settings and you will only see them if the end cover is not installed or if the board is out from the casing.
Yea i set the ones on the left up i think it was 4-8-b but it still blows the fuse. is there anyway to check and see what the settings are that you used on your customers car.
Please any help, i do greatly appricate it alot.

his car hasn't gone back to the shop for quite a long time already but one thing you could try is remove the ignition intercept wires first and see if the car will still blow a fuse. if it doesnt then its definitely the settings. I blew the ignition fuse once in a honda jazz that we were doin but after changing the rotary switches they were fine. oops sorry you cant try that coz you used the harness. try searching the internet coz i remember getting the settings from some site about e manage installtion in 2001 civics
