need help deciding what clutch to go with...
ok so my set-up will be around 230whp 190 trq for now and staying SOHC
what do you think is the best option?
if you want something to be added to the list just let me know and i will add it
i have ran the competition clutch for some time (the stg-2 carbon kevlar) and i do like the feel of there product
however I'm now purchasing a clutch for the third time in the last 2 years due to problems.
the current problem is that the most recent one has a faulty pressure plate
so I'm thing about getting away from there product lineup...
i here nothing but good things about Exedy but are unsure about going with a "pucked" disc...
what are some thing to expect if i do go with the 3 puck Exedy stage 2?
this is going to be my daily driver for the next year or so...
turbo will be installed as soon as i get all the other little problems worked out.

anyone ever try the clutches on http://www.xenocron.com?
I ordered my injectors and map from them and seen their clutch line, wondering if anyone's given em a shot. I've never even heard of them still I stumbled across them. Or even the ones on http://www.rcautoworks.com/ind...d5260.
Just curious. Sorry to thread jack. I'm gonna give a XTD (not exedy) stage 4 unsprung a shot in a hopefully 400 whp-ish sohc zc. Not done with it all yet. Heard mixed opinions about the XTD so since I already have it balanced with my rotating assembly I'm attempt to give it a whirl. I'm sure I'll be swapping within a year though lol.

We have just started working w/ Competition Clutch and they have some kick *** pricing on their setups.
I've never had any luck w/ a full face disck so i'd recomend 6 puck.

Comp clutch is great! I've ran an assortment of there setups in all my cars.
But i also really like the exedy stage 2, it is very very streetable, almost like an organic, most of my friend didint even realize it was pucked
I also think my comp twin is very streetable :-P

ACT Clutch Kit - Sport Pressure Plate with 6 Pad Solid Centered Race Disc
ACT Clutch Kit – Heavy Duty Pressure Plate with Performance Street Disc
http://www.importrp.com/search.php?mode=search
this is were i have been looking
probably won't order from them but just using them for info
so what do you guys think?
i have the stainless line kit, 10 lb fly wheel, and a z6 transmission
will be going with the obx LSD asap... might just go ahead and do it now
that would be the smart thing to do

I had a clutcmaster stage 3 on my car (same thing as CC stage 3), it is easier to driver then an oem clutch. The pedal is the same if not lighter then stock and it proven to hold a good amount of tq, some people have made like 300 tq on it.

Man U FTW
I have an Exedy Stage 2 in my GSR and i love it...it isnt too stiff and doesnt chatter. Its also rated to handle enough power so you have room to upgrade. Its holding well at my power level...numbers in sig

Competition Clutch Stage 4: 6 puck sprung definitely FTW!
Don't do the Stage 2 Comp Clutch - you'll burn through it if you plan to beat the hell out of your car.

Thats what was always happening to me w/ the street discs in the past just blowing the friction pad right off the disc, never ran one since.

Re: (95jeremie)
ok well after seeing the review on the ACT product i decided to cancel my order
I'm now leaning toward the Action 2MD. SovXietday and rota92 recommend them so i know they are great product for them to do that. so I'm now going to take my time and slow down to get this done correctly. but i only have a month till i move and well the car is coming with me

ya my ACT XTSS (xtreme prssure plate with street disc) the disc that came with it was an exedy and pad just came off as well. Do they usually use exedy discs?

Hey, did you make your decision yet? I've got some insider knowledge on the eBay brands such as Action and Grip Force/F1 Racing that might make you change your mind.
If you're serious about the clutch you want to get (and haven't gotten it yet), send me a PM and I'll fill you in on some interesting details....
