NEED help with d16 NOS
hi i have a d16z6 with ZC (pm7 pistons) and the compresion is like 11.5, becuase of the gasket i used , the rest of the internals are stock
I want to know how much NOS can hold with a 11.5:1 compression
I want to inject 55 shot, I HAVE A ZEX DRY KIT , im planning to put 55 shot, is it safe!?? with the 11.5 comp??
please let me know

compression is cool, but not on cast pistons, bring the timing back a bit and get something to manage it, but i wouldnt go much more than a 55 with what you got, but it should be pretty potent @ that compression
I forget to tell you, Im going to tune it on a dyno
Im using UBERDATA to tune my ECU and it has work very fine for now
just wanna know about what you think of 55 dry shot on 11.5:1 Compression
I wont go more than 55 shot

what are you talking about? nitrous loves compression, and you dont deal with detonation anywhere near what you would with a boosted motor because the intake charge is cold instead of being hot from a turbo. I do suggest you upgrade to a wet kit and have fun.

i've tuned n2o on a STOCK d15vtec to nearly 200whp (dynojet). a stock b16 to 270whp. a b20 with stock sleeves to over 350whp. i think i know a bit about what i'm talking about when it comes to n2o on a honda.
"nitrous loves compression" is the dumbest freaking thing i've ever heard for 91-93 octane engines.
temp has little to do with it. n2o adds instant hp. often doubling the whp at a low rpm making more torque than a turbo can think about at that rpm (given a comparable turbo app). torque related to rpm is a far better gauge for load inducing detonation.
but i agree with the suggestion for a wet single fogger kit for a small shot. and tune by cylinder 4's plug.
