today i tried to install my Exedy Clutch(full face organic) in the LS engine that im about to put into my CRX. Well it doesnt fit right at all. The Pressure Plate wont sit flush witht the Flywheel. It will fit right when the Disk isnt in place...but when the it is the PP wont fit right. There is abou a 1/4 inch between the PP and the FW. Why is it doing this? I know that the disk is in the right way...thats not the problem. What else could it be? The FW was just resurfaced and when they were doing it theybroke off one of the studs that is used for alignment...i dont think that tat is the problem either b/c like i said, it fits when the disk isnt in there. TIA for the help.

PS-That throw out bearing is a BIYATCH!!!

I know someone has some input!!! I used an alignment tool and everything...i know that i ordered the right clutch. I just dont know what is wrong with it. I wanted to put the engine in on Sat or Sun so i need to figure out the problem ASAP. Thanks.

PS- I bought the clutch from http://www.clutchcitynline.com and they were great. Very good customer service and it shipped 3 days after i ordered it to clutch city online

Try flipping the clutch disc over. One side is thicker than the other.

 

what tranny did you order the clutch for?
90/91 ls disk is diff than 92 93
