I am planning on purchasing my turbo kit and they are throwing in a hondatan s200 with boost. Now will i be able to use it with a stock type r p73 ecu? Or will I have to get another chip say p72n,p30 and get a obd2 to obd1 harness to hook up the hondata? Is there anyway to just get it to run off the p73 ecu just itself

 

i beilve hondata now can be done with obd2 ecu's as well

Hondata's are OBD I only so far. They are releasing an OBD II in feb but only for the K series engines. So yes you would need a new ECU with an adapter harness. At least I couldn't find anything on their site that said otherwise. If they are gonna do OBD II that'd be sweet.
