Need d16z6 build help
I'm doing a budget EF swap and aiming for 190-200 whp
My plans include:
Act Heavy Duty Clutch (Can't decide between 8 or 11 lb flywheel yet)
ZC transmission
Srt-4 or starion intercooler
dsm injectors/bov
hf manifold
all piping ( to/from intercooler and exhaust) will be custom fabbed by my uncle who owns a welding shop
I just can't decide on a turbo (or waste gate if needed, but I'll look into that) to meet my goals without breaking the bank too much. I'm trying to stay under $2000 and keep stock internals. Your input is appreciated

Re: Need d16z6 build help (TehMoonRulz)
Well the budget doesn't lend itself to a BB turbo like a GT28R all that much, so I'd suggest something like a 50trim T3 with a stg1/.48 AR exhaust. Fast spool and 200+ whp with moderate boost levels will make it fun to drive, and inexpensive. I would suggest the heavier FW, as the fast spooling turbo for your 200whp goal will more than make up for the lack of any lowend or lag.
You could have a machine shop mill the HF mani to accept a tial WG, as it has enough meat above the o2 sensor hole to flatten it out and bolt one up. The other option is to use a t3 internal wg, but you'd have to swing the turbo out from the block with a 2" 45 degree pipe elbow. The wg actuator wouldn't fit otherwise. I did this and fit a larger t3/t04b in there with the HF, internal gate w/3" dp - and AC.
