The D. Would be easier AND cheaper.
A trip to the junkyard would get you almost everything you need. HF Manifold, turbo from a turbo car, intercooler from an eclipse or so, might as well steal the bov while you're at it. All you need then is piping, a bracket for the mani, fuel, and lines.

You'll want more power sooner or later man, trust me. I'd do it right the 1st time with the B18 swap. I mean you can always run it on low boost and it'll last forever. Later on you wanna turn it up you always have the option there. I dont know how much your looking to spend or what not either so that might play a roll too...good luck tho

Honestly man, dont go turbo if your from Toronto
There are absolutely no shops in our area that would be able to help you when something breaks and something always does on a turbo car, no offense but you dont seem like you know much about a turbo setup and a noob with a turbo setup is not very fun, nor will it be fun when something small breaks/leaks and you get ecu troubles and fuel problems
If it were anywhere else Id say go for it and turbo the D. But if you cant fix it yourself just go for the LS swap
