Re: need cheap turbo coupling hose (sloweredcivic)
Go to your local Napa (maybe some other autoparts stores), and get some truck radiator hose. Works really good and a $20 section of hose might be able to the entire system. Just bring your piping to test fit.

Re: need cheap turbo coupling hose (incogNitto)
unfortunately....... this is the only picture i have of what i used.
they seem to work very well though. i got them at lowes, the have strait through and transitions, as pictured. they come with the fasteners and are all under $5 a piece depending of which one you buy.
NOT ME BTW!

Re: need cheap turbo coupling hose (Flexmyrex)
SOme reason, at Lowes or Homedepot, I can never find any 2 1/2" couplers!! WEird.............
So your "buddy" likes to suck eh? Wrong side. and go for the Blow.. lolz... jk...
Yea, Radiator hose might be your best bet, since its riveted witt metal weaves around it... (internally) Good to hold Pressure..

Re: need cheap turbo coupling hose (ChillOutWayne)
i took in two pipes and said i want some rubber hosing to to connect them.
he asked me a couple questions and took me strait to them.
the ones i ended up buying were about a quarter of an inch too big, but it is rubber so once you sinch(sp?) down the ties it fits like a glove. they really do work VERY well.

thats what i was wondering. they seem to be doing fine. they are pretty thick.
plus i talked to some guys that have been running them for a while and they havent had a problem.
but hey i look at it this way. i bought all the couplings i needed for the price of one silicone coupling. so if worse comes to worse and they do **** out, im only out $20.
that being said, i really do thing they will hold up fine.

i dunno if u bought the **** yet or not, but ive been doin the same research lately and came accross a few threads discussing using radiator hose, i think im gonna give that a try, and some t clamps from napa. good luck

Im using the rubber couplers. I find that, unless your pipes almost touch, i.e. "balloon space", then you need to put another clamp in the center to keep it from bulging out.
Use the 2" couplers.. i have them on everything from 2.25 to 2.5 and it fits right on. its rubber, it stretches

Silicone hose in $25/foot lengths. This is the best type of coupler, and this is the best price I've been able to hunt down. I cut mine into 3" sections, and I was able to get 8 couplers out of 2 feet.

Re: (DaX)
I used home-depot/lowes crap for couplers for a while. They get hot and blow out!!! REALLY annoying when you're about to make a quick pass down the 1/4 and you hear POINK as one rips open! They work GREAT everywhere EXCEPT on the compressor housing, just too much heat around it. So if you have the budget, do what I did and buy one decent silicone connector for the turbo side.. everywhere else homedepot stuff works fine.

Re: (GimpyAccord)
dont bother with the home depot ****. might as well get realc onnectors from atpturbo for 6$ straights and 15$ transisions. they dont blwo out as easily either. the home depot ones get REAAAAAAAAAAL ANNOYING when they rip or pop off cuz they expand so damn much. save yourself soem headache n spend the extra 10 bucks.

The 2" couplers are the ones you look for... they are couplers for 2" ID schedule 40, which has an OD of 2.5". THin walled 2.5" ID charge pipe will be close enough to 2.5" OD to not make any functional difference.
That being said, I'm not a big fan of them even though I still run a couple of them. They do swell up like sausages, or better yet roadkill . Because of that, I don't think they are very efficient for boost. They will work great in a pinch, but you get a little more pressure drop across your piping. I think you'll find that they don't blow off if you have a lip or bead on your pipe for the coupling to bite down on AND you don't trust the stock band clamp that comes with it. They loosen themselves over time so you need to tighten them well and secure with a drop of blue loctite.

Oh, yeah, radiator hose
You can also get the bling $$$ silicone hose through NAPA or Advanced for a lot thess than most of the websites.

I vote for the heavy duty radiator hose. Its the cheapest but if i had some $$ i'd definatley buy some silicon hose. The rubber chaffes pretty bad in some places and the silicon seems to hold up a bit better.
