name this turbo
long story short, I got this turbo on a trade and have no idea what it is. previos owner said its a bullseye but I don't think it is. if any1 can help me figure it out id appreciate it.
there are no brand name on it.
on the compressor cover there are letters that read "CT 4" and there are faintly some numbers that read "8296" or possibly "8290"
under the cover on the actual chra are the numbers "312577"
and on the exhaust housing there are letters "D BEP H"
I looked online a ton and im pretty sure the exhaust housing is a bullseye made specifically for holset hx35 turbos but not sure. I think its this 1 but it is a vband

Re: name this turbo
it looks like a Borg Warner T04B turbo
the compressor wheel is definitely a t04b and most definitely NOT a Holset
turbine side is hard to tell since you left the housing on. you need to take both housings off and measure each wheel with a caliper (in millimeters preferably) that's the only way we can tell you exactly what turbo you have.
also is it a t3 flanges turbine housing? what is this turbo going on? as I can already tell you that's a huge turbine wheel and t04b wheels are designed for high pressure ratios. that turbo won't start to boogie until you break the 20psi range

That looks almost diesel with the way that backwall on the exducer is. Man, wantboost you're seeing "T04Bs" everywhere lately. this is definitely an older application.. I'd say about 18 years old industrial application. measurements are key here, but.. I'm skeptical about its use on ANYTHING dealing with a small efficient gasoline application.

Re: name this turbo
well it is lol. 7+7 high ratio compressor wheel, not to mention the comp housing looks like a typical Borg Warner T04B unit
again hard to say anything with certainty as we don't have any wheel measurements. we also need more pics of the turbine housing so we can confirm or deny that it's a BEP housing
