Default N2o question

I just got a Nos n2o dry kit for my b16 hatch. Do I have to have a aftermarket fuel pressure regulator? becuase from what i read the "dry kit"tricks ur car into dumping more gas Im only going to be running a 50 shot at most.

I would just stick with the stock regulator... The thing about the cheaper aftermarket ones (Ericks, B&M, etc.) that modify the stock regulator is they contain a rubber gasket which when placed under nitrous pressure can sometimes pop... It really isn't all that bad even in the rare instances that they have popped as you can just get a new gasket... STOCK will work fine in your situation, just my $0.02

you shouldnt have a problem with a 50 shot. dry kits are very safe

Dry kits are relatively safe.
But I would find a better way to provide the fuel....FPR trick just doesnt do it for me.

Direct Port is the safest IMO.
Then Wet, Then Dry

You need to make sure there is plenty of fuel and spark.

it ran lean, broke the little tip off the spark plug and melted the sides of the piston.

Ouch. I ran lean on a 100 shot and blew the headgasket and melted my spark plug. I had SRP pistons and rings and Eagle rods and they held up. I slapped on a new headgasket and now decided to go with boost and maybe a smaller shot of nitrous 35-55hp.
