Default No2 ?s

i figured this part of the forum is best suited for this question but here is my problem.

im running a sohc zc jdm vtec 1.6 motor/ in a ej8
fuel rail
short ram
header
2.5 exhaust
p06 remapped to p28
5k vtec 7400 rev

i want to add a shot of nitrous on steet nights at the drag strip.
the question is, nitrous having the punch that it does whats a safe application that isnt going to blow my stuff wide open givin that it will only be used in moderation.

wundering whats a good size shot for this engine mainly being stock and what will kill my motor.

also ive tried to do some reading and was wundering about a few things i couldnt find such as
-when you use nos does it only release for as long as your pressing the button or is it a givn amount for each time you press it?
-what about all the nos thats released that isnt being applied to the wheels while in the middle of a shift?
-whats the recomended time to use nitrouse such as (3rd 4th gear certain rpm etc)

i dont wanna over do it all i want is to shake a few people up at the track.

also anyone have any ideas for consealing the whole nitrouse system all together?
would like to be the only person who knows about it if possible even at quik glance under the hood

Nitrous will only be released when the button is engaged, you need to release the button during shifts, it shouldnt be sprayed longer than 15 sec. Go with a wet shot and some colder plugs, also retard the timing a bit. I would only run a 50 shot with your setup even though it could take much more with a good tune (considering your motor is healthy). Nitrous sucks though and its too damn expensive (40 bucks for ten pounds which doesnt last very long). Save up and buy a turbo then spray it.
