Default n1 for catback?

i was wondering if the n1 piping is big enough to run a turbo ? i wanted the thermal 3 " but i can afford that at the moment, if i took out my cat and ran straight pipe, would the pipe be too small or could it work?

Look up KTeller on this board, he can hook you up with a sweet 3'' and your choice of muffler for cheap.

We ran an N1 catback on my brother's DRAG III GS-R and it was fine. If I recall the N1 is 2 1/4 in diameter. He bought the exhaust when we first did the swap and it was all-motor. When we put the turbo kit on, instead of buying a new exhaust, we welded in a Y-pipe cutout that had a removable plate with three butterfly nuts. When the slicks were going on at the track I just reached under the car and unbolted the plate, it only took a couple of seconds. The cutout was like $25. Its not as good as a full 3 inch catback, but it worked

Personally i would say its fine. When I was going to boost my civic (before i bought my project money pit) i bought that exhaust. Low boost it will be fine. D series motor?
