what Guages do you run?
There seems to be lots of resentment towards Autometer guages here on Honda tech. HKS and greddy guages range from $120 a peice up to $240 a peice. thats a bit pricey for me. are there any good guages at Autometer prices? ($45-$59)

i went with greddy. i figure i spent alot of money to get where i am, and the gauges make sure that i don't **** anything up - they are worth the extra money for a more accurate reading

I run both Greddy and Autometer. There is no doubt that the Greddy gauge is much better than the autometer ones. Honestly though, like I said I also run autometer and they seem to work just fine.

defi or omori guages are really good. My roomy uses omori on his 04 sti and another friends A4 audi. They have both been very happy with them and their accuracy.
You can even have omori guages custom made i believe....

blitz and greddy....but my brother has been running autometers in his supercharged GTI for over 2 years now and has had no problems and they have been proven to be accurate. I will say though that cosmetic wise, ie lighting, etc the greddy/apexi/blitz are superior...

Use to have Defi=got stolen
Now use autometer=I have to tap my boost gauge because it gets stuck in vaccum
.
The autometers can't touch the Defi in terms of looks and quality, but I'm a broke ***, so I have no choice.

im going with autometer regardless......... i dont have money to spend on 100+ dollar guages........ i dont have racecar and im only going to be running minimal boost to begin with. as of right now i have autometer oil pressure and watertemp gauges and they are very accurate. i can normally judge when its time for an oil change since i drop a few pounds of oil pressure around 3k due to the oil breaking down.
I run a black face autometer boost 30vac~20boost. It's the least ugly of the Autometer lineup. All those expensive ones are nice and look better but autometer functions great and has a nice broad scale on it for lower boost applications. I think its one of the easiest to read.
The super cheap spearco ones are pretty easy to read also.
VDO is a pain in the *** to read

Well I work at a shop, and we sell mainly autometer and Greddy guages, I must say that the autometer guages are just not as high of quality as the Greddy guages. I have installed plenty of autometer guages which most of them work just fine, but the quality of the connectors and the guage itself hardly comparable to the Greddy.
I have used autometer guages in my prelude with no problem, then I was using an autometer boost guage in my civic for a while, which the needle would jitter under heavy vacuum, and it was a mechanical boost gauge
, I also had an autometer fuel pressure guage on my fuel rail which after LESS than 2 weeks on the car, the face fell off of it, and FUEL was LEAKING through it! So my experience isn't too good, but that is only a small problem with one guage, and the other problem is probably a rare thing. Lots of people use autometer without any problems, but Greddy is a better quality.
I use Greddy gauges in my car, and I really like them, for example the boost gauge will immediately read "0" when I turn the key to 12volt power, showing me that it is on, just little qualities in the product like that make me like Greddy!

but when i had the greddy, i loved every second of owning them. The lighting is great, and the accuracy was bad ***... greddy gets a
