My Wiseco Pistons?
Ok I really have a nervous feeling about these new pistons I bought. They aren't like the stock ones (where they have a pressed in wristpin). They have the wristpin that goes through the rod but then it has two lock pins to hold it in....how safe is that for the motor? I'm really affraid of these things falling out. Anyone with this product or better knowledge please post up.
you need to seriously read up on how the engine internals work.......if you think you can just "install" those pistons your in for a big suprise.

what exactly are you trying to find out. What is your exactquestion with these pistons everyone answered it as floating pin what do you want to know

ive been running them for a couple of months now, they are a little loud, but overal i think they are awesome

exactly
the floating pins means less friction wich in terms reduce heat and free more power
they are reliable
stock pistons are cast, and they expand with heat and ****, wich causes the tolerances to change
aftermarket ones are forged and dont expand as much, wich causes the loudness on the internals

you got it mixed up,its the forged pistons that expand more with heat, thats why forged pistons are noisy before they get warmed up and expand to fill the cyl

the pistons aren't marked as to which way they should go onto the rods (like the stock one's are marked). that's why I asked. if anything I'll call Wiseco on Monday but if I could find out before then that would be great.
Wow, you cannot distinguish between the intake and exhaust side of the piston, and you haven't seen a floating wrist pin before...
You are in for a real disaster by doing the install yourself
