Default My Turbo Setup - Up pipe with E-cutout

Heres my simple setup. Car has an E-Cutout with up pipe. Stock muffler is on the car so i dont get run ins with the cops for loud exhaust. I dont think i ever saw a setup with an e-cutout up pipe
Car is currently only running 7psi making 275whp on the bone stock motor. Im building a 84MM sleeved motor to put in and eventually going to push 6XX+ HP. Turbo is a T4 6262

Quick pic before turbo went in

I was in a rush to get the car out of the shop. Up pipe fab didnt get done until 4AM. Everyone working on the car was too tired so quality wasnt really there. Later on a new pipe will be installed. this is temp and will be used as the template for the final product.

unless they didn't have any pipes left over, i don't see why they couldn't have made a better downpipe. the amount of work would of doing it right vs. hack job would off been the same. But if all they are workign with is left over straights, i guess it is what it is.

Clean car & clean bay

What motor?

B16
Gsr
Itr
B17
Ls/vtec
Etc?

A t4 6262 on a topmount without any ceramic coating/heat wrap done to the manifold and turbine housing will be laggy as ****, like 2-3000rpm powerband and that's it. Especially if it's on a short stroke motor like a b16

And from the looks of it this is a street car, potentially a dail driver that sees occasional nights at the local strip.. if so 600hp on the street will be totally unusable, especially depending on tire choice, expect to have a torque steering wheel spin monster that won't be any fun under 6000rpm and jailtime anything over. A small turbo car would jump you from light to light, since their torque production starts off idle for the most part, where as your car has the powerband of a dyno queen or a dedicated drag car

Need to decide what the cars purpose is and go from there

400-450hp is the ragged edge limit with really sticky rubber for a street car, possibly 500 with BBG and traction control, along with a tire like the r888

Not trying to **** on your parade but the power goal and powerband are simply useless for a street car
.car and engine bay are super clean, nice job on the execution... not too gaudy and over the top. It's just right in my eyes

Right now its an LS/VTEC. Built motor will be a sleeved 84MM LS/VTEC. 350-400whp is what it will eventually be putting down on the street and then 600+ whp for the track. Its only a weekend car, not my daily. Just something to have fun with. Had an integra before on a GT35R, also a T4, making 400whp but sold it 6 years ago. Car wasnt laggy at all. Missed driving a turbo honda so i got this just as a "toy" for me to have some fun with.

The 84mm bore will definitely help the response/powerband with that turbo. You'll really enjoy the extra torque across the rev range. I built a 2.1l ls/vtec and it could spool any turbo reasonably quick

It's probably a .82 and I would imagine it doesn't start to see positive pressure till 5500rpm+ in a 4th gear roll on
