Re: My Turbo EG Hatch
Eh alittle painful, but it's alright. My main focus was high end power and the fact that the car was only going to have a stock set up for like 3 months or so I wanted to see how it would be. I get boost around 4K.

Not bad......I would ditch the EBAY wastegate. A stuck wastegate will blow your motor up with the quickness. Especially with a turbo that big.

Re: My Turbo EG Hatch
I've seen those manifolds on eBay with their matte piping and shiny welds and I've always been curious. Especially since they claim to use sch40 material and welds that actually penetrate lol. I am interested to see how it holds up.

Yes. Great. Cool. You're a lucky one thus far. It's your car so you know what you're getting into (to a point).
That doesn't mean it's a good rule of thumb for newbies and numbskulls to follow.
I mean, we're proud of you and all, and I'll say the usual, "Keep it up, mate!! " just to show emphatic support, but c'mon, don't let this spread like the damn eBay "turbo review" that got lobotomized.

DO IT ON ALL FOURS
Re: My Turbo EG Hatch
It just appears to be mild steel that is TIG Welded. Now what type of mild steel would be my concern... if it's A500 or A53 it should be good enough. Plenty of manifolds are built from carbon steel.

Re: My Turbo EG Hatch
So my dizzy took a ****. Seems like the bearing was going out and the coil was dead. Looking at rich porter dizzys and they seem to work fine. I know oem is the way to go but I can't see my self spending 350+ for a dizzy. Anyone have info on these dizzys?
