Re: My stock block LST project!
Worked on the car some today! Was hoping to section out some of the bumper support but broke the sawsall blade midway through cutting. I ended up working on the oil return line instead.
What is the best method to cut the steel braided line? Tin shears will not get it done!

Re: My stock block LST project!
Been a little while since I've posted on this thread. I have recently made some brackets for the intercooler and it is no longer supported by the books lol. I had to make a hole for the charge piping to go through behind the passengerside headlight. Due to the JG manifold the upper coldside charge piping is going to have to be modified. I ordered my injectors today 650cc precision. It looks like I'm going to be taking the car to a friends shop for charge piping modification, and downpipe fabrication. Hoping to be done in a month or so!

Did some work tonight! I forgot how much I love the whine of a walbro! The fuel pump is in. Removed the washer fluid bottle. The turbo manifold is off and the header is back on. The car is ready to go to my friends shop for downpipe fabrication and charge pipe modification. Should be picking up my injectors and stainless steel piping tomorrow!

I've done several different setups for people using that manifold and turbo facing that way and all was fine. Just be sure the guy building your downpipe stays away from the radiator. Plus positioning the turbo this way gives you tons more room for filter placement and work space. Also heat wrap is your friend! Anything that will keep heat where it needs to be is worth the extra effort ( like turbo blankets and profession grade high temp coatings)!

I'm hoping it will work. The guys doing the work for me have done quite a few turbo setups , I will trust any work being done. If they advise me it wont work then I will notch the block. Crossing my fingers!

I drove the hatch yesterday! was such a nice change from the daily CB7. Took the car to my friends shop! The charge piping is done! Downpipe was almost done when I left! Looks like there was enough clearance for the down pipe, the flange will have to be bolted on rather than stud and nut combo, I will try to get some pics next weekend!

Drove the car home today! I cant wait to be able to rip on it. It has boost cut set at 4psi, it has been street tuned good enough to drive to the dyno. Boost starts to come in at about 3200 @ part throttle. I cant wait, it feels like its going to have a very useable powerband!

Re: My stock block LST project!
Hit the dyno this morning! very happy with the results! Made 269 whp @ 13.5 psi on a Mustang dyno. 16 degrees of timing. Got to drive it a bit and it pulls hard, its like 104 temp outside right now, si I wasn't ripping on it too hard. but it runs well!
