I'm using a short piece of 1.5" mandrel bent tubing coming off my dump flange and then am using 1.5" flex hose from JCW. Are you facing your dump to the front or rear of your car?

I bought a bunch of 90 degree stainless steel bends from mcmaster and some pipe... going to send it to the rear and have it pipe slant down at a 45 degree angle touching the starter towards the rear of the car and out near towards the end of the downpipe.... its going to be an open dumptube with 2 lawn mower muflers attached for noise

So the mouth on your Tial is pointed toward the rear of the car? You're going over the transmission with your dump?

I'm facing my gate toward the front [for now] and I'm going to get 5 feet of the flex hose...I'll dump however far that will let me go.

changed my mind on the dumptube (To much clearance issues on my first proposal)....
facing the wastgate towards the rear of the car ... here how its going to run:
Wastegate - 90 turn towards passenger side side wall -- steel pipe goes through hole cut in sidewall --- 90 down dump (where the stock intake resonator used to be located )...

oh and by the way .. Its already been welded and completed .. so its done and works great

I would love to see pictures...I'm still unsure as to how I want to run mine. I have mine facing forward for the time being.

i'll get you some pics later(really busy today).. i couldn't face it forward because of the radiator hose interference ....

Here is how I worked out the radiator hose deal :
1- cut the radiator neck in half and sanded down the the tabs on the neck to make sure the radiator hose has at least 1 inch to grab onto.

2)Pull the radiator as far forward as could so it touches the front

3) got 3 90 staineless steel bends 1" od and welded them together as follows .... 90 degree to the left(passenger ),90 degree to the down , 90 degree right side up... so the staineless steel pipe curves around and touches the wastegate and exits slightly lower then the end of the wastegate for a radiator hose to attach to .

Yeah I'd love to see pictures. The upper radiator hose is my next obstacle. I was thinking of just going over the manifold with a straight piece of aluminum pipe and then radiator hose on each end of the pipe to connect it to the engine and to the radiator. I don't know if this will work though, because the heat from the manifold may cause the coolant to boil [as if it isn't hot enough already]. I would definately wrap the metal coolant pipe piece to protect it from rubbing against the manifold. But yeah, I want to see other sidewinder owner's solution to the upper radiator hose. Lower radiator hose is fine, right?

yeah lower radiator hose is perfect ... no changes needed .
...I didn't send it above the sidewinder because it seemed that there would be clearance issues with the hood (the hybrid swap make the engine sit higher ) and I didn't want the pipe to touch the manifold -- despite the manifold being ceramic coated .

I'll see if I can email you some detailed pics late tonight when i can grab a digi cam

Whatever you do ... do not use aluminum pipe !!! Aluminum is an excellent conductor of heat and you are going to end up boiling you water if it touches your manifold .... For that matter don't use mild steel either... it doesn't insulate as well as staineless (thats why mild steel headers come ceramic coated and staineless steel doesn't -- they don't need to.) ... use stainless only !

yeah it touches the DP... you are going to want to sleeve it with some fire proof insulating hose..
