My setup (2000 Civic Hatchback with a mild built k20a2)
Page 6: New pictures, a vid and dynochart
Sup.. just wanna post some pictures of my setup. I was planning to wait till its done to post up, but decided to post up anyways. Its about 95% done and should be done this weekend.
I will be breaking in the motor over the weekend and the car should be fully tuned the following week. The car will be tuned on pump gas first until i save up and get an Exedy Twin plate for the high boost tune later on. (Using an ACT Xtreme for now). I am hoping for 450-500 whp on pump gas and 600-650 whp on race gas.
All the work was done by Midnight Performance in Rancho Cardova (Sacramento area). They will be doing the tuning as well. I Highly recommend them for for anyone in the area
My Setup:
Block/Head/Tranny/Engine management
Golden Eagle HD series Sleeves
Pauter Rods
CP Pistons (87mm, 9:0 CR)
OEM Bearings
Eibach EVS Valve Springs
Skunk2 Titanium Retainers
ARP Head studs
Koyo Radiator with custom radiator pipes
HaSport mounts
ACT Xtreme Clutch
Exedy Flywheel
Hondata K-Pro
Fuel:
Golden Eagle Fuel Rail
RC 1600CC Fuel Injectors
FJO Injector Driver
Aeromotive a1000 fuel pump
Areomotive Fuel pressure Regulator
Two Aeromotive Fuel filters
10-AN main feed/-6AN return line
Turbo/Exhaust:
Garrett GT4088R Turbo
Full-Race turbo manifold (HPC Coated)
3" Downpipe (SS)
3" mandrel Bent exhaust with a black Apexi N1 turbo muffler
Precision X-Large FMIC
3" IC pipings
HKS Racing Type II BOV
Tial 44mm wastegate + dumptube
Blitz SBC i-D III boost controller
Pictures. (some before and after IC pipings, downpipe, etc..) Dont mind the dirty engine bay, i will be cleaning it after the tune.
[The car]
Coming soon: Exedy Twin Plate, Quaife LSD, Roll Cage, and then paintjob (repainting black for the inetrior and exterior)

looks nice, but I have to just say one thing..the fuel hose from your firewall to the rail is a bit tight..I'd like to see a bit more slack in that line because you don't want that stressed from engine/drivetrain movement during a hard launch. Maybe the photo is deceiving, but it looks a bit tight to me.. other than that it looks to be a nice setup.

Re: (Mr. Helsinki)
Also, you used SS lines for fuel etc....but for oil feed you LOOPED a rubber hose around the top of the turbo????
I would replae this with SS line, or at least put a firesleeve over the rubber line. Hell, I would replace with SS line AND put a firesleeve on it.

Re: (WHTZ)
FINNALLY!! Somone with a K20 swap + Full Race pics!!! You would think they are a dime a dozen but i been looking on the other sites and it aint that coomon to get nice engine bay shots like thist.
SICK. I always thought to myself that the full race mani looked a lil cramped in the RSX or EP3 chassis, but when swapped into our older chassis (DC, EK or EG) there seemed to be a SHIELOAD of room between the engine and firewall.
Two questions boostedK20a2:
1. Was it worth it? (would u do it again?-after my turbo GSR, its a toss between a K swap +turbo or a factory boosted car..Supra/Evo)...id hate to leave Honda.
2. Who did ur downpipe? it had to be custom since it was a swap?

looks to me like that is probably a coolant line, not the oil feed, no?

it is. the gt ballbearing turbos all have water cooled center housings so thats what that line is. you can see the feed line in the second pic he posted. please look a bit closer before giving someone a few thumbsdown, and make yourself look like a n00b
i would look into the fuel line though, it does look a bit tight from the pics.
on the sick build. keep us posted w/ updates.

Re: My setup (boostedK20a2)
Setup looks sweet but, i not sure if you have noticed this but on one of the pics it shows you are missing a bolt that that connects the turbo to the manifold?
