My quest for boost.
alright i have a 1998 ex coupe that ive had stock with i/h/e. Well i got a hella deal on a b16a2 and im looking to build it for boost. This is my daily driver street car. So im looking for something thats reliable. I want to get somewhere in the 250-300 hp range. So what are some good turbos pistons rods cams etc for a reliable set-up. Im looking to build it all the right way. Any information on boost helps. Thanks in advance.

well start in the faq at the top of the page there is also a thread all about b16's with good info. You also dont need to build it for 300hp I have been doing it for 3 years now, use quality parts and get a good tune you will be fine.

shitttt you dont need to build it untill after about 400 wheel. then you might wanna look into pistons and rods if you want more power.
i made 351 wheel on the stock b16a2 only on 12 lbs. and that was low boost.

Re: My quest for boost.
well heres the situation. I got a b16a2 today. i got it for a good price but its in pieces. theres one spot of scoring on the crank and all the rods have really mild scoring on them. so i didnt know if i should just replace them with honda parts or if i should go all out with aftermarket pistons for lower compression. Im gonna take the crank to a local shop and see if it needs to be machined or what not. other than that everything on the motor is in good shape.

well since you have the block and crank with no pistons or rods i would get some eagle rods and forged pistons. (cp caugh caugh). but i have my own opinion on pistons that others dont like usually haha. i would go at least 10:1 if your going to turbo it. i wanna try 11:1.
