My motor is on its last leg part 2.
Some of you remember I posted a thread a while ago about my motor. Well after my birthday party today we pop open my hood to check the compression.

Ok, by this time I was feeling ok. I finally lost compression!!! wooowhooo!!! Now, time to do the rebuild and make more power. Next month would have been 2yrs with the turbo and 40k miles where boosted. It was fun, but its about to get more fun. Melanie is really gonna hate me now..

You had a strong motor and lasted a while. Just wait till you rebuild and see what happens next. good luck with the rebuild

i'm going to be building a motor this winter too.. thing is i never boosted and blew my engine to start. just gona build it up right at the beginning.
eagle rods and je's probably... maybe sleeved? overkill for 12psi, but i'd rather be safe than sorry.
spare blocks own anyone have a site with detailed instructions on how to install pistons/rods? i should probably buy a helms shouldnt i?

sorry to hear about your engine.
good to hear you are going to rebuild with more power and not turning your back on the snail like others.

hehe yeh after we did the first 3 cylinders I was thinking WOW i think everything will be cool but when we got that 100 it was not the atmosphere you would expect in a garage after u just found out ur motor was blown. We actually luaghed about it and talked about how fun the build and swap is gonna be. stan tried to throw away the compression tester, its the one that we used when he blew his motor and now arts motor, but I wouldnt let him, we will throw it away after i blow my motor haha.
art ur car is about to get really fast. once we put in that LS motor
