Default my first dyno numberS!! i HATE THEM!! please take a look...

Man today I was so disappointed! I was hoping for 225hp at 9psi at least!

I'm kinda embarassed to post these POS numbers.. i'm only getting about 5-7 hp per psi!! what the hell is wrong?!?

1994 accord ex f22b1 sohc vtec
t3/to4e turbo from drag
550cc injectors, hondata (tuned), walbro 255lph pump
drag manifold, piping, tial wastegate
hks evc iv boost controller.. just switched to a hallman MBC after the dyno..

My car was tuned the other day at 9psi.
ok the first run was on 8.5 psi which is very sad. why are the numbers so lowW????

2nd run- the stupid hks boost controller spiked to 13psi!! what the heck is with my torque on the spike???? i had to let off...

3rd run i tried setting it low but it would not control boost.. spiked to 11psi and climbing so i had to let off AGAIN

ok last run spiked to 10.5 psi but i kinda kept at it... until i was too scared to go any further... i can't afford to blow this motor...

Can anybody help me to improve my numbers??

better flowing manifold?

yah the torque is nice but hp seems lowww

it seems as though most of you guys are getting about 10-11 hp per PSI..

I want to get the most out of this engine...

but yeah it's open wastegate.

2.5" downpipe. stock cat. pos greddy evo exhaust..

stock intake manifold

oh and i didn't get the a/f .. they wanted to charge me 50 dollars more just to stick in the 02 sensor in my exhaust pipe.... next time i'm going to another dyno that include the a/f..

The high torque numbers seem to indicate a restriction somewhere in the exhaust. I would check to make sure that the stock cat isn't shot.

I was thinking I was the only one who saw that....RAISE THE REV ! Torque looks good though
Loose the stock cat.

Try another run with open DP, and next time go to a tuner that includes a WBo2 in their tuning charges.

He said they shut it down early because boost was spiking to like 13 psi, and he was afraid of bowing his motor.

Edit: I didn't even see the last chart. You need to wind that bitch out to at least six grand. As far as the spikes something is restricting exhaust flow through the WG. Is there a dump tube on it? If so what diameter?

You def would have made better hp numbers in the higher rpm range. But with the boost spike in mind, you made the right decision letting off.

yeah the car was feully tuned on a wideband on the street. i believe the target a/f ratio was in the 14's... i have to ask my tuner..

and there is a dump tube on the wastegate.. 1.5"

holy **** son.... a/f on a boosted car should be no greater than 12.8/1 ideal is betweem 11.8/1 and 12.8/1

Your car will be making 250+ if you manage to get a 3" exhaust and test pipe of similar size as well as solving your boost creep problem and potential a/f distortion.

your "what to fix/buy" list:
3" test pipe
3" catback (check out kteller8's systems)
get steady a/f @ 12.3:1
solve boost creep is it possible you have a bad vacuum/boost source?

any questions, pm me
-Ryan

Edit: made my post look pretty

I think that people dont understand that torque is a measument of force. TORQUE is what moves the car. Everyone freaks out about HP. If you have no torque, you have no created force, no energy no nothing. Yeah your dyno pull was jacked but torque is a necesity hp and tq usually run hand in hand, but your run looks funny. Bet that would have felt fun on the road hee hee
good luck

id like to agree with this but in an automotive world horsepower is linearly related to torque, and thus imho equally important.

I agree with you, notice in my post that I said that they "run hand in hand" I was just stating that everyone gets way more concerned baout theie tq numbers. I think its humors when I see someone boasting about their numbers and they have barley 200 lbs of tq and 350+hp

stock cat Check your plugs too, you shouldn't be using stock plug or gap. The exhaust will help ALOT.

that's why my 210whp and 193wtq ls setup feels a lot stronger and ran faster than my buddy's b16a2 setup running 249whp and 169wtq. my theory of hp and tq is that tq gets you there...hp just shows how far you "CAN" go. got that from my physics professor.
