Default My experience with UBERCHIP

Hey guys some of you ask for results of the uberchip. Well after running the SMC+ and having problems bogging with it , i switch to Uberchip and now it runs smoothly!! with the smc when i get into boost it will buck a lil. with the uberchip it is smooth. idle is perfect. easy start up compare to the smc. i would recommend this chip to anyone whos looking for a good fuel management.

So you just put in the chip with the base maps untuned and so far so good?

Whats settings do you have the chip set at (launch rev, redline etc)?

I would like to know as I'm only a couple of weeks away from firing the sohc vtec up again for the summer after spending way too much money over the winter.

I'm with you on that!! I'm using UberTeg's chip as well and it's kick ***! Idles great and feels a whole lot faster then my buddy's GS-T!! I'm currently tuning it with a AFC which UberTeg recommended I do to decrease the retard to something like 1/2 or 2/3 degree per lbs of boost and so my car would idle like it would if it were n/a. I'll be hitting the dyno hopefully next weekend and be posting up some numbers!!

Doesn't the chip already retard timing 1 degree per pound of boost? So did you have set yours to only back timing off 1/2 degree instead?

1 degree per pound is the default. You can give him different numbers if you want. I asked him to chip mine with 0.5 degrees per pound of boost just because I run a GReddy kit - nothing too powerful.

A high mileage engine, and he blew it up with full knowledge of what he was doing at the time - risking his engine. I believe he was overboosting past the stock MAP's range with his final timing and fuel set where it should be... shattered #2 and #3 ring lands simultaneously.

I told him he was overspinning a T25, he said he didn't care.
