Default my dyno at payn tech.

after a semi long drive to payn tech today , here is what i put down at 12psi, tunned on a hondata s200, 3 bar map.

170.9 hp
168.2 tq

now this is a mustang dyno, i read the normal conversion for a dynojet is +~15%
so thats
196.5 hp
193.4 tq.

this torque rules. tom did a hell of a job.

he told me flat out my exhaust sucks. haha, i running a dc sports 2.25 inch, i guess im looking at 30 + whp if i add a 3 inch exhaust. what do you guys think.
o yea this is a small sohc greddy turbo , i belive t04h.

You sure do have a lot of torque for a D16. What have you done with it?

Ah, don't worry about Tom, he told me my exhuast sucks too.
I'm also running a 2.25 exhuast, it's a Apexi though.

He also told me that my custom turbo kit at 5psi was only going ot put down around 170-180 at the wheels on the Mustang Dyno. He was like "Ah.. I already know what it going pull anyway, it's going to pull around 170-180whp at 5psi". Then I put down 200whp at 5psi.

Then he said "Eh not bad, I'm impressed with the kit, turned out pretty well!".

Then about 5 mins later, Tom went back to saying how my exhuast sucked again.

Ah Tom, you gotta love the guy.

30whp would be NICE from just adding a 3 inch exhuast, but I doubt that I would actually see THAT much of a gain. But I'm only pshing 5psi, and you're pushing 12psi, so you should see a bigger gain than I would.

Do you have a high flow cat or a test pipe? That could really help out too!

Nice# btw!

maybe his compression is higher than yours and that is part of the reason.

yeah with lower compression you can have more boost but you lose alot of Hp that people with higher commpression would see. Why did you bring the compression so low?

i made the compression so low because im stupid and did not do enough reseach on turbo engines. if i do it again it will not be so low.

why the low boost. tom explained to me anything over 12psi and it would be a time bomb waiting to go off. he said my sleeves "might" crack. i was thinking of turning it up to 15. what do you think. i do have a block gaurd. also since i was tunned at 12- 13 psi. you think it's safe to do 15 now. or will my a/f and timing be all off. i think its linear so i should be fine. any ideas.

how much gain with a bigger exhaust, any recomendations. should i stick with a high flow cat or just run "test" pipe

platinum.

My drive was like 8 hours. Stock block and stock internals I had tuned to 10psi...never ran that much myself though.

I would think with rods and pistons you could have gone higher then 12psi....

You just have a D setup correct? Blocks are cheap for you.

yes blocks are cheap, but my hands are still sore from building this one. hehe

you think i can turn it up as is. or do i need to retune it for 14-15.

how much will this little turbo push, 15psi.

Just unbolt the exhaust and see what happens. If it makes a difference we can just weld up a nice 3" exhaust. No reason to spend lots of cash on it.

i agree, but bigger exhaust wll lean me out a little and im already pushing it. im assuming i would need to retune. or at leat test on a wideband to check for a/f

ideas.
