Default is my distributor bad??

rev hard kit
was running fine till recently.

timing is fine, the car has a bit of a rev cut at like 5500. i pulled the spark plug wire, when it hits this wall there is no spark.

we recently replaced the ignitor, ignition coil, plugs, fuel filter, rotor and cap. it was fine for a bit.

now its doing this again.

i get a check engine code of 92, which is the evap system failure im assuming this is due to all the gas and air just sitting there unsparked.

its fine, you see plenty of spark up to 5600 or so, then it stops like all spark. sometimes it goes past it and takes off hard like abitch. almost like another vtec.

a ricers dream lol.

any ideas, i think its the distributor, all grounds are fine, all items checked out fine.

maybe the wires??

I think that code has something to do with emmission control, wheather it's causing the ECU to go into limp mode it another question tho...

You might try getting that fixed, before doing anything else tho.

check the 2 screws that go to the coil, make sure they are tight, also double check all grounds, But I would bet the a wire inside the distributor is lose, happened to me, I felt real dumb after a lot of time a waisted tring to figure it out.

Maybe a bearing in the dist. is getting worn out and it needs a rebuild?
