Default My delimma, HELP, Dart block VS LS block

I ran a fully built sleeved B18C block last year and I cracked a sleeve. They cant resleeve my block they say with aebs, as I had 84mm bore and I want to go back to stock but stock 9.0 rather then 8.5 ratio. HAHA So they cant get AEBS sleevs into my old block PERIOD

SO this is the delimma,

He deals with DART blocks and I can get one DIRT Cheap like 800$ cdn and just use all my itr components and race crap. Then do i give him my 9.0-1 JE stock bore pistons or do I stay Weisco 84mm 8.5-1 pistons?

OR FOR FREE he will get me a LS block, swap over all my ITR crap and get me stock bore AEBS sleeves and add the oil squirters for free?

WHAT TO DO .................???????

thanks,

so all my work will be free either way but one way i have to pay for a new dart block or not pay and have the ls block, This is for a pimp JDM car that I drive daily and race on weekends

thanks again, Kenny

Dart block with the 84.5 mm slugs

or just buy new pistons and use the dart block since you are saving so much on it.

Well I have Weisco 8.5-1 and Je 9.0-1 but the wesco are 84mm and the je are stock bore. Your right. Id like to stay 84mm and go to 9.0-1 but they could easily shave my head as they are giving me a free head as well as they fucked up mine. SO Either way I have pistons, just looking for what others think is best.

well in that case dart block with JE's stock bore

you don't have to go bigger bore to make power. and a fresh new block with no worries about it being sleeved correctly etc is nice. especially at that price.

HAHA, thanks guys, THis is what he said to me when I talked to him yesterday. Im gonna get final (my) price this week and how long it would take to get the block.

So rather then saying hook me up, what should i do about the piston situation, Go stock or go 84mm and shave head to get the 9.0-1 ratio i want?

thanks, Kenny..... and Ill talk to him about prices for non sponcered cars. Im sure since he is a new dealer will be willing to do something~!

I would be interested to see if you really get a Dart Honda block for that cheap, since it costs us more than that to make them. Be careful that you are not getting a used block sold as new, or something other than a Dart block.

darton doesn't make blocks, and they warranty sleeves if anything. So if you block has darton sleeves and you punch a hole through it with a rod, darton won't get you another block.

darton makes the sleeves for dart blocks.

Well after talking to Steve at his shop in toronto, he knows he fucked up my last block and Im pretty pissed about that, but im a very good customer and he knows thaht. He just did the huge by in (you know the cost in u.s dollar) So I cant 100% hold him to what he said as he told me I have to wait and see the list for pricing but I think he shoudl pay for part of it, if its gonna be more. Why should I have to settle for a used B18B block when I have a 00 ITR block that they screwed up

I just pinched myself and im still reading 605.00 for a dart block....and yes the dart blocks are not allowed in many of the pro classes i read that in a magazine, atleast for now im sure they will eventually move in; they are still a new thing on the market...cause now they have those Beast crate motors that use the dart blocks (pretty pimp but they are like 10 grand totally built).....but wow if i had 605 dollars I would get one and just keep it for a few years till im done playing with my D then i would go all out, closed decks are god

Again I talked to Steve and questioned him about my pricing, he still has to get pricing but says he will pay for half the cost so Im getting it for half of what cost is since he feels bad for all my **** blowing up. I mean worse some to worse I get the stupid LS block and swap over all my parts and install the oil squirters!

NDRA is allowing the Dart block in all classes for 2004. It's in the new rulebook.
