What research have you done past this question?
What turbo kit are you looking at?
Are you just daydreaming?
This question is about as vague as you can get.

If you need to ask, I'm not so sure you are capable. But research, no one here is gonna spoon feed you this. There are so many different turbo's and sizes you can run. Google, and forced induction section here.

Search. Lots of info on this...and try the forced induction forum. Prob get more help there.

But for starters...rods/pistons/rod bearings/cams/arp head studs/bigger injectors/upgrade fuel pump/garrett-turbonetics-precision turbocharger/durable exhaust manifold/3 bar map/intercooler and piping kit/hondata-chrome-neptune for tuning/and last but not least TIRES to grab the pavement!

There is some more nic-nacs here and there...but just search around on google and talk to the guys on the FI forum.

Where did you pull 400hp as goal from?
Have you even driven a 400hp front wheel drive car?
Read everything in this link twice.

I'll make it as simple as possible for you and you can go from here.

Forged internals, build head, big turbo, lots of fuel, good tune.

And please don't go into the forced induction forum asking this same question. You will be laughed it. Do some more research and come up with a good setup you want, then ask about it.

there are different type of turbo kit out there when I did a research and I'm confused on what would be the best turbo kit to get. so far I have 8.1 compression piston, eagle connecting rods, stock cams, titanium springs and retainers, intake manifold, 550 fuel injector and fuel pressure regulator. Now I'm looking to buy a turbo kit and I have about 3000 to spend on the turbo kit. there are so many different kind of kits out there just wondering which one would be a good kit for around 300-400 hp.

If you're dead set on a kit call these people.

http://www.go-autoworks-store.com/

I notice you didn't mention ANYTHING about engine management unless I missed it. Big fail so far.

Will need bigger injectors for 400hp. Don't think 550's will cut it...

Why not buy valves along with the rest of the valve train?

And why so low compression?

And why would you ask what mods needed if you already have all that stuff?

And...what about tuning? You said nothing about that...

He doesn't if you ask me. Sounds like he just repeated someone's parts list and crossed his fingers.
550cc injectors? How did you come to the conclusion 550s would get you 400hp?

Yeah...don't really get the 8.1 compression either. Sounds like a wish list??

Also...where is the tuning?

I just bought this car and all this part came along with it. I was going to continue on adding parts that will get at least 300 if 400 is imposible. but thanks you everyone for the info anyways.

Well if you don't want to answer any of these simple questions you might as well sell those parts. The only thing that you listed off that had a name on it was Eagle. How do you even know what you have?

The low compression is perfectly fine for a boosted engine but what pistons?

Yeah...I get the low comp for boost...but just wondering why so low? But I guess they "came with it" But anyways...this is a dead thread...

I'm honestly trying to help this guy but if he cannot answer these simple questions then he's just pipe dreaming. Wether he has the parts or not is a moot point. You have to have a real solid game plan if you want to go turbo. If not then you have much reading to do just like the rest of us that have successfully gone boost have.

No doubt...I've been reading on it for a few months and still am struggling on some things...

I was lost after all the reading until I stumbled across the link in my sig then it all came together in my head by seeing how it all went together on teh engine. The only thing besides this is getting a clutch that will handle the power and an EMS that a good tuner is comfortable with.

When I bought the car the seller told me that he put some wiseco low compression piston with eagle rods. I'm not sure why he went too low on the compression but he was planning on puting some turbo on it but did not finish. I've never had turbo car before so I'm not too familiar on what the consiquences on having them and what to expect in the long run. I plan on doing more research and continue on building the car. Since most people here have more experience and have done turbo before, I would like to get some advice if it's the right thing to do or maybe better of going all motor. I'm planning on getting hondata s200 for ems and get it tuned from the local shop near my house but I'm not sure how great they are in tuning.

for the clutch, I was planning on getting stage 3 or 4 exedy. Yea I agree I still need to do some more research. I've did some research and read some things that are good to make it reliable to have when boosting a car such as low compression, forged internals and not go cheap on the parts.
