Good luck Craig. I better get an IM or an email with the results.

It is for sure the ROM, bad cable connecting to the box or an ECU that I can think of. Try reburning the chip.
When I use my software to burn the chip, it tells me if the chip can't be loaded again with a file. Then you know it is bad. What are you using? Are you starting it wilth the stock injectors? I made you a base map for the 880's not for the stock ones that I remember?</TD></TR></TABLE>
99% sure cable is good, never had any problems with it. Starting it on stock map and stock injectors. Thanks for the help fellas, keep the ideas comin

I wanna put about 50 miles on it with the stock injectors. Then I'll throw in the 1000cc's and tune. Hopefully it'll all happen in the next week or so, trying to make BOI Chicago.

We had the chip burned at version 2.5, that's why it wasn't working. Converted it to 3.0 and that seems to be taken care of.
Still doesn't start though, acts like it is flooded. I'm wondering if putting a little oil in the cylinders might help the rings seal a little better. The engine has been sitting a while since it was put together.

Yep
Thanks for the help tonight Chiovnidca, I really appreciate it. Oil is a thought maybe, help get the initial combustion going. It's strange fellas......spark, fuel, timing, everything seems to be there but the bitch won't light. Verdict for the evening is that it's flooded. We took the plugs out to let the cylinders dry.

Re: (Hella_JDM)
Trying to start it on a bone stock map with stock injectors. Fuel pressure is @ 40psi. Plugs are damp, getting fuel....... Plugs in cylinders 1 & 3 are starting to show some color on the porcelin but are still wet. You can hear it when you crank that it's wanting to start and every few revs you can hear combustion out the exhaust. Sounds/looks like 1 & 3 are kinda hitting but nothing from 2 & 4 yet Ant ideas fellas???

Re: (GITWIDIT)
double check your firing order . try flooring the car when you crank , and when it starts to fire let it go. going wot on startup cuts the injectors.

He has good strong spark. Would a tighter gap help it start easier? Why?

Put a fresh set of STOCK HEAT RANGE plugs in for the first 50 miles he is talking about driving it on the stock injectors. If the plugs are wet, they could be toast.
Like someone said, check the firing order. Should be 1-3-4-2
One other thing, you may need to add a tablespoon of oil to each cylinder when you pull the plugs. This will give the engine compression to aid in starting.
Good luck!!

Firing order is correct. We'll put some oil in the cylinders and probably a good idea to take the 7's out and put in some 5's.
Thanks guys, keep the ideas rollin in!
