as of right now i have a built sohc all motor and my comp. is around 10.7- 10.8-1...is this too high for boost? My car is ok but with a turbo it'll be a lot better, if you know what im sayin. the head is ported like a ***** and i already have a balanced rotating assembly and polished and chamfered crank with shot peened stock rods and forged je pistons, with arp rod and headbolts. this motor was built with the intention of the juice but i want the power all the time...any input is greatly appreciated!
most people will run around 9.5 at the most and about 8.5 at the lowest with boost. You will have more on and off boost power with higher comp but it will be harder on the engine. I would say it depends on how many lbs you run.

if i were you i would just get some 8.5:1 or 9:1 comp pistons and throw them in. not a hard job...just get .002 over pistons and bore/hone the block ot match. you'll be glad you did and you wont worry about it blowing up running 15psi if it's properly tuned.
