my cheap B16a build.
After a couple nasty boost spikes, and a little detonation my trusty B16a started sounding a little hurt. Compression readings were not good, so i pulled the pistons out yesterday night. Found out i had cracked the ringlands on all the pistons.
Today i took the pistons/rods to the machine shop, and had my old LS slugs pressed onto them. New OEM headgasket and headbolts are ready, all i'm waiting on is rings and its going back together.
B16a combustion chamber is slightly smaller than the LS, so i'm expecting about 9.4:1 compression. Should be able to handle quite a bit of boost.
