My buildup.
I just got my block back from being sleeved. My pistons fit upside down but they wont fit if U try and put them like they belong..Do i need to have the block rebored and honed? or just honed ?heres some pics....pistons are CP's

How far down the bore do they fit? All the way to the bottom and completely out? Are the pistons overbores? Um...you did send the pistons with the engine to be bore matched right??

You have the same parts that I do, except I'm using stock sleeves. I ordered 81mm cp pistons, supposed to fit in the stock bore, but they don't slide into my b16a block. Ohh well, Just bring it to a machine shop and get it bored to match the pistons.
Some people need to spend a little more time working on their engines and less time talking about them on H-T (not directed at anyone individually) ....
The last engine I built the clearance was set at 0.0035" between the piston an sleeve ... these are loose tolerances intended for low silicone Forced induction pistons which have to expand. Regardless --- do you know how small a distance 0.0035" is??? So small that if you try to install the piston the correct way by hand without lubricateing the sleeves with wd-40 that they will not go in. One needs a ring compressor to make sure you install the piston in perfectly aligned.
I tried the same exact thing with my cp pistons ... would go in the oposite way, but not the correct way by hand -- and i checked the clearances myself with my dial bore guage ....
... don't worry ... i would still double check the tolerances myself or someone else because i don't trust anybody and am methodical engine builder which doesn't second guess anything... but i think you are allright.

Danny i told u to stop worrying about it. Your not even assembling the motor anyways so u dont need to worry about all this ****.

we'll see... you dont even have ur turbo yet

Thats going to be a nice build, how much power you shooting for?
