* next to part means i alread have item
? next to item is asking is it a good idea / opinions

alot of the stuff sepecially the suspencion parts i have had new for like 3 years, this project was put on hold 2 years ago just pickiing up again. some of the things i brough back then was when i was in my younger days and dident know any better, but its money spen so i am going to use the stuff.

GOALS
250+ hp range
as much TQ as possiable
12 sec q/m range
8500 rpm redline (i want to be able to rev, we will see how high i can go)
i will mostly be running 93 octane gas, but can get my hands on 110 ($6 a gallon!)

HEAD
as of right now, i have a stock b20b i belive it says p75 head. i might splurge and buy the p8r head
heavy port and polish, with custom portmatched intake for sidedraft carbs
gsr valves & valve guides (if p8r head)
not decided on cams yet
retainers and springs
custom intake manifold to fit carbs
solex 40mm addhe sidedraft carbs* (just for test fase)
looking for some 45mm webber dcoes or solex mukini's
smsp header? 4-2-1? looking to run a full 2.5 exhaust with smsp 300 cat and 18" resionator (i been reading there thread in the all motor section)
direct port nitrous setup tapped into runners on custom manifold (shooting for 75 shot)
dont know what to do for cam gears. if i have endyne do the head, ill prob use all ther internal head stuff. if not prob crower

Block
b20b*
sleeved to 85mm
92mm eagle crank? Crower?
eagle long rods
pistons? endynes rollerwaves?
not sure with the crank/nitrous and redline ability, should i got with a compression rating in the 12's?
block gard?
Block Girdle?
mostlikely 7lb flywheel (prob get clutch and flywheel as package)

Transmission
90 teg rs tranny*
obx lsd (i dont really care about the axil problem, i think for the money ill give it a shot

Engine management (or lack of)
no ecu (carbs)
hot rod 21 circuit wire kit*
cbr coils*
msd dis2*
autometer oil pressure guage*
autometer oil temp guage*
autometer coolant temp guage*
a/f ration guage?
wideband o2 sensor?
is it ok to run no thermostat? (i have dont it before but dont see the use for it witout an ecu, fan will be hot wired
10 gallon fuel cell
fuel pump?
still trying to work out the distributor thing to get the timing correct with the coils

Brakes and suspension

upgraded to full 89 sei accord suspension/brakes w/ rear disc
ss brake lines
90 teg brake booster*

I'm a fan of keeping the OEM look on any car... but kudos on trying something different on the build.

Sounds cool aside from the no ECU thing.....why would anyone want to downgrade and run with carbs is beyond me. You will never get 250 reliable whp without being able to tune the thing properly.

now why would you go against someone else's own opinion....you post pics of your car, then you have to take the good wiht the bad, and right now dude is taking the bad just fine i believe, without your help

but as for the setup...how are you going to run the CBR coils on the SCI? I thought you needed someitng like a DIS 2 and run wasted spart, or the DIS 4 to run them?

and i'd not consider them a downgrade, carbs make more power than EFI

How do carbs make more power than EFI? I guess F1 and CART should switch back to carbs then, eh?

I have seen plenty of setups with carbs, mainly non-Hondas and most all of them are now running EFI. Why? Because it allows for much more accurate spark and fuel control.

PM me for some good machine shops around.

carbs make more power, PERIOD. Fuel atomization

if this car is going to mainly be a WOT car...then carbs are the way to go with n/a or nitrous

carbs don't make more power ant if the fuel atomization is better than why does it use more gas??? you dont want a restiction in your intake system and you want precise fuel and spark!

I like carbs. My S10 (with 350) has given me new apprecation for the simplicity and power of carburation.

for doing something different.

Don't know where you're at in MA but Jimmy at Britton's in Beverly does EXCELLENT work and very very reasonable prices.

one question: why an OEM clutch? or is that for a different project?
