Default muffler or straight on track?

ok, i'm gearing up for this upcoming cmi season in sac and am wondering what's better. i'm running turbo on my gsr and wanna know if its better to run straight pipe w/ gutted cat and no muffler or should i throw a turbo muffler on it? i've ran nitous with just straight pipe and have ran better times than with muffler so wutcha thinks? 2.5" piping straight through, no muffler or 3" straight? or w/ muffler? any input would be appreciated! oh, one more thing, whats a safe boost to run? block has eagle rods, je 9:1 pistons, brand new rebuilt head (only 202 miles), and turbo xs boost controller. aiming at low 13's or high 12's with slicks.
