Default MSD HVC coil question

I have the MSD HVC coil and cap. The coil instructions say that it can be used with stock ignition, but "USE WITH MSD 6 SERIES IGNITIONS ONLY" is stamped on the coil. It's part number 8252 if that helps any.

Does anyone use the HVC coil on stock ignitions?

msd is pretty cool to talk too. but if i read it correctly, IF you are using an ignition amplifier, then use a 6. there is an hvc coil that you need to use a 7 on if that hepls.

Thanks for the input. Anyone else running it with stock ignition? I just want to see if there were any bad outcomes from doing this.
