Mr. Racier how confident are you in your vw 20v intake mani?
http://forums.vwvortex.com/zer...ge=15
someone from full-race how do you think your mani will compare to the rest of the compition and also if you would it would be great if you could do something for the 20V VW community to be able to push these motors to 8k or more ir you could do a little research and see what would be needed for 8k or more RPM's,,,...............
it would be absolutely great if you would try to help the VW community

There was a time when Geoff came over to Vortex and he was shunned by the "theorists that be" in id=27. It's not that he didn't try, id=27 goons are too hardheaded to try something until they approve it. I can dig up the thread for you if you'd like to see who specifically you can formally thank for not allowing the parts availability to grow for the 1.8t community. He tried to show them the product available and "internet engineers" got all hot and bothered about laminar flow this/pressure loss that/its not worth the money over the other and so on. I could go on... but why?
Real simple comparison for you: Take intake manifolds from Ross Machine, Full-Race and ABD. Have them flowed at your local machine shop with a flowbench and compare the results. Post them in id=27 and have the aforementioned "internet engineers" analyze it for you. Let me summarize for you what the likely results are: Full-Race significantly outflows both, RMR flows more than ABD. RMR is cheapest, Full-Race is most expensive. Flow capacities of manifolds are relevant to turbo size, cam selection, etc. There's no such thing as a perfect match, you pick whichever is closest to what you need/can justify affording.
It doesn't take rocket science to go to 8k rpm... just better-than-stock valve springs. Contact your preferred valve spring dealer to order a set.
Full-Race's phone number is 866.FULL.RACE

China's the largest nation in the world, and 9/10ths of it is still ***-backwards. Had to comment on that.
VW forums seem as resistant to change (IE unusual setups) as the HT forum is resistant to becoming pacifistic (not ********). The problem lies with said 'internet engineers'. The people not willing to stir things up are the ones being left behind. Full-race can definately stir **** up, as far as designing components...
