Default motor is runing HOT

I have a gsr-turbo in my 2000 SI. now the temp guage is noraml im not over heating or anything. But my motor is smoking hot the whole charge pipe and intake manny is so hot it burns my skin if i dare touch it. Just wondering if i heat-wrapped the charge pipe..ram horn exhuast manny. if that would keep my motor from running hot. Or is this normal. I heard the charge pipe should be cold but mines def. not. I only have about 4K miles on the rebuilt and nothin is goin wrong with it.

set up fully built gsr with a t4.t67HO turbo-15psi

That is normal. Your engine gets heat soaked. Wrapping the exhaust parts will help keep engine bay temps down but unless you are driving on the highway all the time with good airflow your parts will get heat soaked. I notice my intake temps are below 100* on the highway but as soon as I hit city traffic it rises to high 120s.
