Input on h22 turbo build
Hi honda-tech i have a 1992 prelude 4ws with an h22a that i am building for turbo. i have been doing alot of research and found some parts i want to use in the build but dont know if they are the best for what i want. my power goal is 500hp. so now i will tell you the parts i have and then the parts i want to use.
parts already have............
jdm h22a
jdm lsd transmission
love fab sst manifold
Precision Turbo - PT67 Series Turbo: 400-1550
precision intercooler: 31 1/2" L x 10 5/8" H x 3 1/2" D
44mm tial wastegate: open dump under oil pan
3in v band down pipe to 3in exhaust
smaller cross member with soild front engine mount made by pfi in colorado
koyo half size radiator with slim fan
2.5in boost piping
hks ssq blow off valve
1000cc precision injectors
aem ems
aeromotive fuel pressure regulator
aem 3bar map sensor
arp head and main studs
Parts i need or want...........
darton mid sleeves
pauter rods or crower rods
cp pistons or arias pistons
cometic head gasket
ferrea valves and retainers
dont know about valve springs but maybe skunk2
dont know about cams but maybe skunk2 stage one turbo cams
walbro fuel pump
aem fuel rail
dont know what kind of gauges yet
dont know what kind of axles yet too
If you see anything that i should do or buy let me know forsure. i need help on what kind of pistons and rods and cams forsure thoe. thanks

You should use either skunk2 tuner 1 or pro 1 cams.

You should make your 500 whp goal on stock cams without much trouble. They would have great torque if it's a street driver. Make sure your fan has a shroud that covers your radiator. Set it up for boost by gear or speed for easier control on Drag Radials.

Using Arias on mine. H22s respond well to GOOD port work. I'm using the Crower econo-billet rods (Crower advertises them as good for 650hp) They will go well over that. CP pistons are also good and Pauter rods are one of the best.
Few aftermarket cams are better than stock. Skunk2 Pro1 make more top end, less torque and wear valve train components out sooner (not a prob. if you are race only)
At 500 whp you will have more power than you can use in 1st-3rd for street use.
