motor just finished being rebuilt help me!!
Heres the deal:
me and my buddy just got done putting together my turbo type r. when it came time to start. the engine would turn over but wouldn't start.
after checking the fuel pump...injectors...fuel pressure regulator....and all ignition components we got it to start.
the problem is now that it is very hard to start and idles very badly. It also has NO pedal response at all. The only way to get the car to stay on is by constantly pumping the gas pedal.
I noticed a littlepuddleof oil sitting on the left corner of my head gasket. I was thinking that i may have a leaking head gasket but not sure, if it would cause all these problems. I have removed and reinstalled the head 2 times now to make sure it was torqued and done properly. It is a brand new head gasket so im not to sure about that.
Any help would be awesome. there might be something we didn't think of or possibly looked over. Thanks for the help.

it could be your idle control, it's on top of the intake manifold but you already know that i assume...if it needs to be restet, i believe you tap it.

No offense, but is your timing belt on correct? (ie. cam gear could be off 1 tooth or so)

True... 1 tooth and you won't be able to idle for crap...
Also, before you go crazy, check all in engine harness plugs, wiring and vaccum lines as one of the first things.
