Default Motor is complete (not a honda but, hey, we all like a good turbo setup)

well as the title states...
the motor and turbo setup are complete...
onlything left is to throw it in and build the down pipe and intercooler plumbing.
by the way this is a VW 20v 1.8t.

and a few before and after shots.

and then after...
made 398wheel on pump, and 441wheel on race, stock internals kinda took a ****

pauter rods, wiseco 82mm pistons, stock crank (forged factory crank), and a bunch of other bulljazz, t61, tial44, full-race top mount equal length manifold...

well...
before i was running a program called revo...
but it doesnt give you very much control, and the ecu uses a host of sensers to cause an adaptation mode...
you can tune it, but the tune only lasts so long...
and if you try to blind the ecu by unplugging cetain sensors then the throttle body will only open 30%.. we have a drive by wire electronic throttle body...
so my plpan is to run a system from http://www.034efi.com and convert to cable throttle to get rid of this lame as electronic remote control throttle body system...
then i can just tune like you guys with autronic and other SEM systems

I agree, I always like to see a nice VW. Keep us updated on the management. I would recommend Autronic, its a great EMS.

i agree,,, its going no where fast right now.
but ill be back intown shortly...
doubt it will make 600wheel...
but lets go for 500wheel.

as for the autronic suggestion... i agree 100%...
however that company 034efi is hooking it up big time with the system they offer... which is basicly the same thing.

yeah, terry actually cheated me out of a dyno competition last year...
we kinda battled it out with pump gas, and finished 1 and 2 in the 4cyl class, most of the other guys were on race fuel... few boosted teg's, S/C teg, some nitrous honda's...
pretty exciting event... got me a damn trophy... lol

In this pic, what is the reasoning behind that AIr Vent? Is that to reduce oil windage? Or is it a cooling effect, allows cool air into the motor?

Is this better for side loads on the engine? That rod on the left?

Looks good man, I love the way the Golfs look. Buddy of mine has a VW R32 and wants to boost it soon. Kits a little on the high side though. Props on the good looking car.
