which motor to build question
ok heres my deal i have a hatch with a b18c1 turbo in the car currently.. it is stock.. im on a budget so i want to find a b18b1 and build it while my b18c1 is in the car. then swap the turbo parts and the ls motor in my hatch and sell the b18c1 thats in the carwithout the tranny and recoup some of the money i spent building the b18b1. this is my daily driver so i cant really pull the motor and such because i have to have it for work.. plus this will give me a chance to take my time for my first motor build. or am i wasting my time

sounds like a sound idea. depending on how long the motor build will take you, you could buy a beater car and use that for dd. thats if you have garage to keep your hatch in

Re: which motor to build question (Boosted Chemist)
not so sure about ls vtec ive heard that the ls hates to rev and with the gsr head its going to have a powerband that wants to rev until 8100 and ls is going to want to throw a rod at 7500.. am i incorrect?

Re: which motor to build question (b18c1wes)
it sounds stupid to me, keep the gsr, use a good tune and you be ok, idk why u want an ls, save your money and if you blow the gsr get some eagle rods and cp pistons for like 800 bucks and your fine. i know how it feels not to be a motor builder and take on a project but its not as scary as it seems. In my opion selling the gsr and go ls is kinda like taking a step backwards (not to be a ls hater) but u have a good motor that seems to be runing fine. Save your cash and get the car tuned.
also what is your EMS?
