most miles on a boosted engine?
I started off with 150,XXX, to 170,666(I will never forget the last 3 digits) It ran really really stronge till the last mile, the reason it blew was cause of a bad boost controller. I am trying to post pictures, but I cant get it, but when I can I will post the pic of the melted piston.
I have a B18B with over 170,000 on it. I boosted at 150,000. I ran anywhere from 5 to 12psi...never had a problem...
I sent a spare B18a block to JG to have it done, and thats what I will be using in my new setup listed in my sig...

nice guys! I boosted at 99XXX and am at about 103XXX now, since August...I don't drive it too much
Hopefully it will last a couple more years until I get out of school <--Poor.

I have over 141,000 miles on my GSR, JRSC was installed at 95,000... no problems so far...
My GSR has stock internals and a Greddy kit. I installed the kit at 128,000 miles and currently have 142,000 trouble free miles. My wife drives it every day.
a few years ago i was running 20+ lbs on my 160,000+ miles b18c1. stock motor and head using an inlinepro headgasket and race gas. ran mid to low 11's over 100 times in my street car. never blew the engine. still boggles my mind when i think about it.

That is mis-information. A car is as good as it is treated. I hope this thread changes your mind about what you said.

I agree. It last as long as you take good care of it. How dedicated are you? Change your oil, tighten those bolts, add good fuel, check you lines and hoses, and eat your vegetables. etc..
