I usually don't get hassled too much. I go through cars pretty fast and do my thing, it's nice not getting judged on how much money I spend or time I take with my vehichles.....they are MINE. Just got my sc300 and it's already on jack stands and will be for another month or so lol. Dad thought that was kinda funny/dumb, I just tell him I have to make it my own : P
