Modifying Greddy for 3"
A friend at a local shop told me this and was just wondering your input. I currently have a GReddy EVO and am in the process of buying a 3". Is it possible to have custom 3" piping up to the GReddy can and then have have the inside of the muffler expanded? He said that it can be done but I don't know how good of an idea this really is. Also, please don't reply with "You and your mechanic are the stupidest fools ever" comments. I want some real info on if this could work. TIA
YOu can expand pipes a little for adjustments but going out to 3" is not doable. The pipe expanders are used for minor fitment issues. Your best bet is probaly going to be to have a shop follow the greddy piping with some 3" piping so you can keep your greddy muffler and dont hvae to do any guess work.
i cant imagine it being that bad..if you just do custom piping all the way to the muffler.incl taking the pipe OFF the muffler and welding new 3" piping to it it should be ok.kind of a lot of work but cheaper! and i dont kwo if ya wanna hack your greddy up.. the muffler it self shouldnt be too bad. i like the look and sound.
