Default Modifying (boring) a headgasket?

We have a sleeved F22A engine at the shop (89mm) and cannot find anyone that makes a headgasket this size. Someone said Golden Eagle modified stock headgaskets but they denied that. Does anyone know of a place that sells oversized F22A gaskets or at least could bore a stock one? We are a Cometic dealer and have tried to go that route along with several others and everyone has a listing for all of the Honda engines except the Accord F22A.

TIA

Yes, golden Eagle uses OEM headgasket and bores it. I saw their headgasket few times and you can clearly see the boring and all other modifications.

I may be wrong but isn't the F22 block similar to the H sereis blocks?

U may get more info in the Prelude forum but I have a buddy who did a F block H head combo and turbo'd it also. I 'm not sure exactly what F block he used.

If they make an H series headgasket that goes up that high in MM then you can most likely use it.

I ran into this same problem around this time last year. I wound up just having my block o-ringed and having SCE custom cut me a copper head gasket. They will only cut them for your if you order 3 or more, but it turned out to be the only reasonable option for me.

I thought GE actually laser cut the gasket and not bore it. I could be wrong. Any decent machine shop should be able to figure out how to bore a head gasket.

Ive called GE twice and they have told me they do not modify headgaskets. I agree that Ive talked with people before that have had this done. I dont know if theyve recently stopped doing this or the person answering the phone just isnt aware that they do this type of work. I have called all my local machinists and its something they are either not interested in attempting from lack of prior experience or the one place that I found that will do it wants $200-250 to do it. I cant justify having $350 invested in a OEM headgasket.

Anyone else have any references or input on who can do this for me? TIA

i was in the same boat...
stock bore is 85mm, mine is only 85.5... I contacted GE and they told me they wont do it.... I was like what the hell... its the same as other honda OEM gaskets... Heres my suggestion.
I personally used an F23 headgasket cause its for an 86mm bore. U should use the f23 gasket just cause the crush ring is out farther... Get an F23 headgasket and take it to a good local machine shop and they should have no problem elarging it to like 90mm for u. Goodluck... I talked to the people at darton about this and they told me their sleeves are designed for the cometic MLS gasket. I told them they dont make it for the f22 and darton was surprised...

I am sure they modify OEM gaskets, but I bet they could only do it up to a certain bore size. The stock HG for B-series for example could no way be bored up to 85mm without destroying the sealing rings.
